SUBLAND in Berlin organises music events dedicated to the genres of drum'n'bass, techno, breakcore, hardcore and experimental music.

 

The events take place in different locations in Berlin.

After the iconic Subland club had to close in 2015, Subland events returned 2 years later, finding a new home in the Arena Club in Berlin

and then in other locations such as Melancholie and Kili Kulturhaus.

Subland is an ardent supporter of subculture and strives to present high-quality music and exceptional artists at every event.

Subland stands for the values of mutual respect and a family atmosphere.

All proceeds go to the artists, the location and the refinancing of further events. It is very important to us to promote subculture with our events and to contribute to musical diversity, especially in Berlin.

Our Story:

SUBLAND, a club dedicated to bass-driven music, was founded in 2011 in the old electricity plant at Wiesenweg 5 in Berlin - Lichtenberg.

 

This was one of the few remaining underground locations in Berlin, between the three stations of Nöldnerplatz, Frankfurter Allee, Ostkreuz...Easily accessible.

As the name suggests, the Subland Club combined subculture and bass-driven music in a unique atmosphere.

This was Berlin's only place that regularly offered the darker electronic sounds and showcased the variations of electronic music.

Genres such as drum and bass, techno, dubstep, crossbreed, hardcore, breakcore, industrial and experimental sounds were presented to the Berlin scene and to all who came from Germany and abroad.

Various events such as Dub Der Guten Hoffnung, Drone, Hell Drop, Deathrave, Gabber Noir, Collapsed Reality, Surgical, to name but a few, found their home in Subland.

One of the annual highlights was the Subland Birthday Party (12 April), where things just got crazy.

Not to forget the legendary Burn The Machine Festival, taking place over 3 days and nights with a high level of DJs and live acts, surrounded by workshops, food, decorations and the traditional burning of the robot.

Burn The Machine attracted an international audience who shared a love of music in a very special way.

Another aspect and a good reason to spend time at Subland was the friendly staff and the fantastic crowd found there.

It immediately felt like home and you certainly had no problem making friends.

Last but not least, the bespoke sound system by the Bulgarian company Clear Sound provided the right pressure to massage body and soul.

No-one will forget the red 'Beast from the East'! If you've been to Subland, you'll remember the moment you walked in! Priceless!

A unique sound & bass experience.

Subland was much more than just a place, it was more like a home for many guests and also for many national and international artists.

We remember this as an incredible place with fantastic nights, fantastic artists and a fantastic audience!

After the closure in 2015, it was clear that it had to go on.

True to the motto 'the party must go on!', we didn't want to and couldn't let the name die and started organising Subland events in 2017, so we could continue to provide you with powerful sounds.

 

 

SUBLAND in Berlin organisiert Musikveranstaltungen, die sich den Genres Drum'n'Bass, Techno, Breakcore, Hardcore und experimenteller Musik widmen.

Die Veranstaltungen finden an verschiedenen Orten in Berlin statt.

Nachdem der kultige Subland-Club 2015 schließen musste, kehrten die Subland-Events 2 Jahre später zurück und fanden ein neues Zuhause im Arena Club in Berlin

und dann in anderen Locations wie der Melancholie and Kili Kulturhaus.

Subland ist ein leidenschaftlicher Unterstützer der Subkultur und strebt danach, bei jeder Veranstaltung hochwertige Musik und außergewöhnliche Künstler zu präsentieren.

Subland steht für die Werte des gegenseitigen Respekts und einer familiären Atmosphäre.

Alle Erlöse kommen den Künstlern, der Location und der Refinanzierung weiterer Veranstaltungen zugute. Es ist uns sehr wichtig, mit unseren Veranstaltungen die Subkultur zu fördern und einen Beitrag zur musikalischen Vielfalt, insbesondere in Berlin, zu leisten.

Unsere Geschichte:

SUBLAND, ein Club, der sich der basslastigen Musik verschrieben hat, wurde 2011 im alten Elektrizitätswerk am Wiesenweg 5 in Berlin - Lichtenberg gegründet.

Dies war eine der wenigen verbliebenen unterirdischen Locations in Berlin, zwischen den drei Bahnhöfen Nöldnerplatz, Frankfurter Allee, Ostkreuz...Leicht zugänglich.

Wie der Name schon sagt, verband der Subland Club Subkultur und basslastige Musik in einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre.

Es war Berlins einziger Ort, der regelmäßig die dunkleren elektronischen Klänge bot und die Variationen der elektronischen Musik präsentierte.

Genres wie Drum and Bass, Techno, Dubstep, Crossbreed, Hardcore, Breakcore, Industrial und experimentelle Sounds wurden der Berliner Szene und allen, die aus dem In- und Ausland kamen, präsentiert.

Verschiedene Veranstaltungen wie Dub Der Guten Hoffnung, Drone, Hell Drop, Deathrave, Gabber Noir, Collapsed Reality, Surgical, um nur einige zu nennen, fanden im Subland ihre Heimat.

Einer der jährlichen Höhepunkte war die Subland-Geburtstagsparty (12. April), bei der es so richtig abgeht.

Nicht zu vergessen das legendäre Burn The Machine Festival, das drei Tage und Nächte lang mit einem hohen Niveau an DJs und Live-Acts stattfand, umgeben von Workshops, Essen, Dekorationen und der traditionellen Verbrennung des Roboters.

Burn The Machine zog ein internationales Publikum an, das die Liebe zur Musik auf eine ganz besondere Weise teilte.

Ein weiterer Aspekt und ein guter Grund, Zeit im Subland zu verbringen, war das freundliche Personal und das fantastische Publikum, das man dort antraf.

Man fühlte sich sofort wie zu Hause und es war kein Problem, Freundschaften zu schließen.

Und nicht zuletzt sorgte das maßgeschneiderte Soundsystem der bulgarischen Firma Clear Sound für den richtigen Druck, um Körper und Seele zu massieren.

Die rote 'Beast from the East' wird niemand vergessen! Wer schon einmal im Subland war, wird sich an den Moment erinnern, in dem er es betreten hat! Unbezahlbar!

Ein einzigartiges Sound- und Basserlebnis.

Das Subland war viel mehr als nur ein Ort, es war mehr wie ein Zuhause für viele Gäste und auch für viele nationale und internationale Künstler.

Wir behalten es als einen unglaublichen Ort mit fantastischen Nächten, fantastischen Künstlern und einem fantastischen Publikum in Erinnerung!

Nach der Schließung im Jahr 2015 war klar, dass es weitergehen musste.

Getreu dem Motto "the party must go on!" wollten und konnten wir den Namen nicht sterben lassen und begannen 2017 mit der Organisation von Subland-Events, um euch weiterhin mit starken Sounds zu versorgen.
